Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement and a day to celebrate all acts of giving, hosted annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. The dogs at Meridian Canine Rescue are so grateful you have considered them as the recipient of your philanthropic efforts.
On this day, we want to celebrate YOU! Without you as a donor, follower, volunteer, foster, or adopter, we couldn’t have helped hundreds of families and pets with consultations and resources, found homes for our dogs, and kept progressing on their training and rehabilitation. You are rockstars and we are so excited about planning 2022 knowing we have you by our side.

Your Donation Goes Further on Facebook
Did you know that Facebook doesn’t charge fees for monetary donations all year round? And, Facebook is matching charitable donations made through their platform on November 30, from 8:00 a.m. ET until they reach $8 million! This is our preferred method of receiving Giving Tuesday donations.
You can also share your love for Meridian Canine Rescue by creating your own Facebook fundraiser for friends and family. No donation is too small, and sharing our mission with your community is an easy way to support us. Here are some ideas of fun ways to encourage fundraiser contributions:

You can create a default fundraiser, or customize by editing the goal amount, the end date, the title (we recommend Give Dogs Like Levi More Tuesdays), your reason for organizing the fundraiser, and even the cover photo. Personalizing your fundraiser will help you find even more success!

Join the MCR Circle of Friends
MCR Circle of Friends is our monthly giving program. Members can donate any amount (even as little as $5) on a recurring monthly basis. Our goal is to add 100 new MCR Circle of Friends this holiday season.
When you join our Circle of Friends, you’re also invited to join our private Facebook group and see behind-the-scenes news, pictures and videos that we don’t share with everyone. We also have exclusive swag, private events and so much more. And the best part: You will be saving lives 365 days a year!
Other Ways to Get Involved
If you would like to be part of our Giving Tuesday team, please email karinna@meridianrescue.org and we will send you content, ideas and graphics to post so you can request support from your friends, family and community.
Monetary donations are not the only way to support us. Volunteers are critical to the success of Meridian Canine Rescue. On Giving Tuesday, join the MCR family! We have remote and onsite opportunities. Here some of the current volunteer positions we are in need of:
Kennel Attendants
Onsite 1 hour per day. Non-animal care position. Orientation required.
Dog Handlers
Onsite 1 hour per day with monthly commitment. Animal care position. Orientation & training required.
Fundraising Committee
Remote meetings every other week. focus on donor relationships, admin work, networking and events.
Board Members
Remote meetings monthly. Additional responsibilities include leading projects and events to support MCR.
We are also looking for foster families. We provide our fosters with all the supplies, training and resources you need to care for your MCR foster dog. We will match a dog that fit your lifestyle so we can have a great foster experience.
Finally, we work with local businesses and individuals through our Donation Matching Program, to help contributions of all sizes go even further toward supporting the Meridian Canine Rescue mission. Contact us to learn more about becoming a matching donor.
