Saving lives through storytelling and education
Our dogs are heading to a real home on 15+ acres
We promote behavioral wellness through a holistic care approach for every animal in our rescue.
Our life skill training curricula teach both dogs and humans how to live – and thrive – together.
The best way for us to help more animals is by sharing our knowledge and skills.
All handlers are Fear Free Shelters graduates.
The animals who come to us most often need to develop life skills that will improve their behaviors in a home – and keep them there. Our training methods are humane and effective, as we build trust with our animals and teach them how to live well with humans.
Meeting our animals needs is top priority. They enjoy a high quality of life because we create well-rounded plans designed specifically for each unique animal. Our plans are flexible and dynamic, informed by our daily observations and data collection.
Our animals deserve to feel safe and secure, which is why we work closely with volunteers and visitors to provide access that doesn’t cause unnecessary stress for anyone.
We advocate for improving the relationships between humans and animals. We value research and innovation, constantly seeking to upgrade our understanding of animal intelligence and welfare and to share that information with our community.

Quick: type “dog’s sense of smell” into a Google search. Do you see all the articles and websites devoted to how incredible our pups’ noses are? They’re super sniffers. And, well, we’re not.
